Since last year Young Virginia Farmers partnered with Virginia food banks to make a difference getting fresh produce on the table of those in need.

Millions of families and children go to work, school and bed hungry every day.

Since last year Young Virginia Farmers partnered with Virginia food banks to make a difference getting fresh produce on the table of those in need.

The initiative is called Fresh Foods for Virginians.      

“Produce is extremely important to our food bank and to our mission to improve the quality of life and to help people to understand that it's a necessity to have better food choices,” explained Pam Irvine, President and CEO of Feeding America Southwest Virginia
